2011 Chevrolet Volt

General Motors officially unleashed the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, the first ever official plug-in hybrid production vehicle at GM's centennial celebration. General Motors calls it as E-REV or the Extended-Range Electric Vehicle. Possessing a top speed of 100 miles per hour and 40 miles on all-electric based on the EPA city cycle.

Mercedes-Benz S400 BlueHybrid

The new S400 uses Mercedes 3.5L V-6 gas engine is combined with the 15kW electric motor/generator. It consumes 7.9 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometer in the NEDC resulting a very low CO2 emissions of 190 gramer per km., in which shows a low value for this car's class and power, assembling the S400 BlueHYBRID as the world's most economical luxury sedan.

With the S400 BlueHybrid's mixed hybrid module, a maximum output of 220 Kw/220 hp and a maximum torque of 375 Nm. It has an acceleration from zero to 100 kilometer per hour in just 7.3 seconds, the S400 BlueHybrid can attain an electronically limited top speed of 250 kilometer per hour.
